The Conference Table That Can Change Everything
Stoneline Design’s hybrid of classic aesthetic and innovative office design is expressed in the introduction of its Stone-Top Axis Ping-Pong Conference Table for the multi-use boardroom.
Stoneline Designer Monte McDermed has adapted his classic Axis table design with Steel I-beams supported by plate Steel legs, and transformed it into an entirely new office solution: a hybrid conference and regulation size Ping-Pong table in one. Doubling as a functional and fully-wired conference table, the 5×9’x30”h Axis Executive Ping-Pong Table adopts the modern philosophy of creating a fun work environment that subsequently increases productivity and overall employee satisfaction.
“We’re experiencing an undeniable shift in what we see from corporate office culture,” Designer Monte McDermed said. “We see from our clients that there’s an increased desire to stay active in the workplace. This new Axis conference table design is meant to engage users in a multi-purpose workspace that stimulates a higher productivity level and simultaneously develops balanced office recreation.”
The Axis Ping-Pong Conference Table features a shelf underneath the two-piece Granite top, housing paddles, ping pong balls, and the conference table’s wiring connectivity. Rubber spacers separate the two top pieces to protect the Stone sections from vibration during play. The break in the two-piece top also doubles as an inexpensive wiring alternative, allowing cords to pass between the rubber spacers to the underneath wiring shelf. The top features a honed stripe through the center for Table Tennis delineation, while the rest of the Stone top is lightly textured for hellacious spin and a fast game.
The Axis table’s structural I-beams are supported by thick plate Steel legs, finished with a variety of Brushed texture options. The two separate legs and I-beam structures are joined by the lower multi-purpose shelf and stabilized by the weight of the heavy two-piece Stone top. Stoneline Design’s integration of industrial I-beams has been interpreted into a wide variety of Axis home and office furniture including conference tables, reception desks, credenzas, bookcases, and meeting tables.
